As I wrote yesterday Guy Peelaert passed away November 17th in Paris.  Peellaert was an painter, illistrator, graphic artist and photographer whose work as seen around the world.  Much more has been written in the following blog

His most famous album cover was realeased in one version than quickly changed to the second version. The following is the art and final album that remained released. Follwing also is his Rolling Stones cover of It’s Only Rock and Roll.

Peellaert was also known for his movie posters with Taxi Driver possible being the most famous.


His last work was the art direction of Pravda, la Survireuse.

The Death of an Artist

I will post more on this in the morning but I have seen that artist Guy Peellaert has passed away after a fight with cancer at the age of 74.  He passed away November 17th in Paris.  Peelaert’s work can be seen on many covers including the notorious David Bowie’s Diamond Dogs album.  I will write much more on him tomorrow along with many of his works including some works not done for albums.  For more information on his art, please visit his site at
